Hello, My Name Is...

"Hello, my name is:
 I've been saved
 I've been changed
 I have been set free.
Amazing Grace is the song I sing.
 Hello, my name is:
Child of the One, True King."
 -Matthew West
Child of the One, True King.

This song has been out for awhile now and I just can't seem to get over it. I am in absolute love with this song!
It is such a great reminder to me of who I am in Christ. No matter what my past holds-I AM A CHILD OF GOD. Nothing can ever separate me from the love that God has for me. How amazing is that?!? The love, mercy, and grace that God has for us just blows my mind!
Hello my name is: Kaylee-Saved by grace and a child of the One, True King.

Personal Life Update and Other Thoughts

First off, for those of you who follow this blog I am so sorry I haven't posted anything in so long. Life has a habit of throwing things at us that we don't expect and life gets CrAzY!! But in this case "crazy" is a good thing for me. I have 24 days until I have the privilege of getting married to my best friend!! We got engaged on May 11th and I just recently moved from Oshkosh, WI to Rittman, OH (explains the craziness, right? Lol).

Despite all the business and planning, I've had to keep one thing in mind...don't get too busy for God. It's so easy to just put Him aside and forget about Him. I'm ashamed to say I have caught myself doing this a few times. I've been more like Martha in Luke 10:38-42 when I should be acting more like Mary. I've had to remind myself to take some time and spend time with my Savior.

"The LORD is my strength and my song..."

I am absolutely loving Tenth Avenue North's new album. I got it a few weeks ago and I don't think there's a song on there that I don't like. One of my many favorites is the song Worn. I think it's just a great reminder on who our strength is really in. Even when I'm tired and worn out and I just can't find the energy to do that one last thing, God is always there giving me the strength I need for each day.
"The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God,
and I will praise Him."
Exodus 15:2a

Christmas from a Candy Cane Prespective

"Look at the Candy Cane
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the blood shed for me
White is for my Savior
Who's sinless and pure!
"J" is for Jesus, my Lord, that's for sure!
Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus, my shepherd
Was born for me!"

I heard this poem when I was little girl at church and I have never forgot it. In fact, I just taught this week to the children at my church. I love this poem, because it shows what the real meaning of Christmas is. I love how something so simple as a candy cane can be used to tell one of the greatest stories of all time!

November Thankfulness Challenge: Day 30

I am thankful for salvation today. God's free gift of salvation through His son, Jesus. This is the most important thing I am thankful for. It has impacted my life and has changed me in so many ways.

November Thankfulness Challenge: Day 29

I am thankful for colorful lights. Lights like the ones you see one Christmas trees. They're bright and cheerful.

November Thankfulness Challenge: Day 28

Today I am thankful for imagination. To be able to use my mind in a fun creative way.
